soft vintage pink

Bild
today i want to show you my latest mixed media project. This time i started only with a simple backround, something discreet. I used the 'aria story' stencil from 13@rts and modeling paste. After building my composition with paperclay embellishments made from prima marketing iod mou lds , a chipboard clock and again some dried roots, flowers and art stones (i really love using those things for my projects) i covered everything as always with white gesso to prepare it for the color. This time i wanted to try a another color combo, so i choosed 'fuchsia' and 'dark brown' which i diluted with a lot of water, to create a pastell vintage look. To hightlight everything i used white gesso and a little bit of 'vintage silk' wax

altered smartphone case

another project of this weekend is this altered smartphone case. I prepared the surface with black gesso, used black modeling paste and a stencil to create a nice texture, and added some chipboardpieces and metalembellishments. As glue i used heavy gel medium-for me one of my favorite mediums, because it sticks very well, you can move your pieces for a while, dries clear and flexible. When everything was dry i brought  the first layer of rustpaste on it, i began with the darkest color 'brown rust', then red and at the end a little bit of gold rust, just to set some highlights here and there.

rusty mixed media tag

I had enough of making winter stuff, so this weekend i spend my time to play around with my ne set of rustpaste from finnabair I used stencil and modeling paste for the backround, added some embellishments (chipboardpieces, metal pieces and art stones) with gel medium and covered everything with black gesso. Then i used some magicals from lindys to color it,here i used 'steampunk sepia' 'shabby turbine teal' and 'rusty lantern lime'. for more metallic look i added finnabair metallique wax 'bronze age'. Then it was time for the rustpaste, here i used the red rust and gold rust. At the end i decided to add some golden mika flakes from 13@rts. Thanks for watching, i hope you like it

Have i told you, that i love to work with lots of texture? I had so much fun with the winter tag, so i decided to make another winter creation. And the winter theme is perfect for texture, isn't it? This time i made this little wooden box, again with modeling paste, chipboardpieces, dried roots and some metal embellishments, sprays, white gesso and selfmade snowpaste for the color i used 13@rts sprays light blue and dark brown for the snowpaste or frostpaste i mixed white gesso, babypowder and glitter. The gesso covered the glitter pretty much, so it shines through only a little bit, on the picture i can't see it at all, do you see it?  flower and leaf are metal embellishments by Retrokraftshop, i love their embellishments

winter on my desk

I'm really not a big fan of winter. It's cold, it's dark, it's grey, i always feel tired and unmotivated. But: there is also a new inspiration to craft and create, i never thought about it, but winter creations are such a fun. So i ordered some winter chipboard pieces (these are from snipart, i ordered them by 13@rts-as the most of my products) and started my very first winter mixed media creation. I used a stencil and modeling paste for the backround, added some chipboardpieces, dried roots and other items, covered everything with white gesso, then added sprays and as always i hightlighted everything with white gesso, when it was dry. To give it the final winter look i mixed white gesso with babypowder and glitter to create a snowpaste. I hope you like it

I wished to create a mixed media layout, i tryed a fiew times, but i didn't liked the results. i'm always watching YouTube tutorials, and then i found this tutorial from Olga Sepkowska-a great artist- and i was totaly inspired and motivated to try again with a mixed media layout, because her way to create would work for me. So here is the result, i had so much fun an d i really like it. The picture shows me and my sister on a trip in denmark, where we had a great time.  For this canvas i used gesso, mists, modelingpaste, rustpaste and lots of embellishments  This heart canvas i found at a euro store for only 3 euro. It has a size of 30x28 cm  To create texture i used art stones and grit, dried roots and modeling paste To highlight the embellishments and the texture i added white gesso after drying the color.
