My latest idea was to alter an old music cassette and i had so much fun with it, i decided to make some more in different styles. Here are the first four. under each picture i made a small discription of how i made them. If you like the cassettes and if you have some other ideas to alter cassettes, let me know. thanks for watching. for the first one,i prepared the cassette with black gesso,then i applied black modeling paste though a stencil and added some chipboardpieces and metal embellishments.I covered everything with black gesso again and after drying i applied finnabairs artalchemy waxes gently with a dry brush. this one is inspired by art journaling. After preparing with white gesso i played with washi tape,acrylic paints,stamps and stencil.I wanted to have a small focal point on the cassette,so i added this metal light bulb and a title. Off course,my beloved texture technique could not be missing on one of the cassettes. Here i used finnabairs cra

hi dears, i'm back with a new creation. This time i wanted to make a steampunk canvas, but i wanted to make something with lots of texture again,as well. So, why not combine both? So i started with applying a thick layer of crackle paste by  finnabair   and let it dry natural for a fiew hours. Then i built the composition with chipboard pieces, metal embellishments, dried roots and this cute face- this is made from paper clay by using a silicon mould. I played with different colors, first lindys magicals for the backround (steampunk sepia and shabby turbine teal) then i added finnabairs artalchemy paint 'mermaid teal' and 'emerald green' deluted with water and off course 'steampunk copper' should not be missing for this project.  to give it more texture i applied rustpaste (again finnabair) and some colored mica flakes and xs micropheres in old gold from 13@rts. I wish you a happy new year with new love, new hope, new possibitilies and everything you're wishing for. I had a creative start in this year with this art journal page. I hope you like it I found a beautiful old book on ebay for 3 euro and i decided to use it for art journaling First i glued two pages together because they're pretty thin, then i started with gesso to prepare the pages.  I used tags, die cuts and stickers from 7 dots studio to built the composition. Then i added modeling paste and a stencil from 13@rts. the colors are also from 13@rts. I also added some stamps and finnabair's rustpaste and at the end i placed some word stickers from tim holtz
